New Luxury Edition Hunger Games Books in Australia/New Zealand

I saw that they will be available in the Australia Target but it doesn’t give a date when they will be on sale

@Emelin – Thanks, I am trawling through everything still No records for Big W/K-mart/Target as yet but wouldn’t be surprised if they pop up next week.

Cheapest price so far (which amazed me as they’re always expensive) is Dymock’s at $18.99 each.

@Tash I saw them in Dymock’s as well and yes that is the cheapest price I’ve found so far as well! They can also ship over seas but to the USA (for example) shipping will be approximately $40 dollars.

Where are they selling them in NZ? Finally something special that a kiwi can actually buy!

They were out at a Target on Brisbane Northside earlier. I may or may not have snagged them out of a trolley that was waiting to be unloaded though. They were $19 each.

Seriously??? they come out with that NOW when I just got the books for Christmas last year?? Plus here in New Zealand they rip you off

I really hope these can be shipped to Norway, it’s the most beautiful edition ever!(is it limited?)

I must ask, is it just me or do they look more…”shining” in the pic with just 3 books then the other pic?

@Renate – I think it’s the light, I actually just went out and bought some before (couldn’t help myself!) and I can’t really take a good photo of them without light reflecting off them, they are that shiny!

My copies will just be for show though, they are too beautiful to cut the spines and read them. Unfortunately Scholastic do not send them out shrink wrapped, so make sure you look for a good copy – I made Dymocks go through their entire stock so I got three without any marks lol

Funny they make “luxury editions” for the hunger games. It just seems like an oxymoron….

@Renate – You’re welcome Dymock’s price of $18.99 each runs until Christmas, but they did say they expect stocks to be quite limited by then. At least Target are selling them too so there’s plenty of opportunity for people to pick them up

@852 – True, but I guess the same principle can be applied to any of the merchandise/book editions. They are beautifully presented and quite tasteful IMHO.

these are way too gorgeous to read! :O i mean, i was already in love with the UK versions, and the german versions, and the japanese versions, and then this one tops them all, gosh, but it’s not humanly possible for me to buy the series that many times. i’d kill to have just the covers so i could frame them, though.

I just bought all three books for $19 each at Dymocks, they’re amazing. I doubt these will be made available outside Australia and New Zealand though, they were made by Scholastic Australia.

Wow this country is doing really good for Australian fans, we get the movie almost two days earlier then everyone else in the world, first country to get the DVD, now we get these limited eidtions, yay!

Now all we need are for NECA to release more merchandise down here…

i’m italian, i have already this books but when i have seen these i have said- I must buy them- so i will buy them for xmas by ABC shop. i think that in italy this edition won’t distribute. I speak so good english and then i will buy them. I’m so happy, i have done a calculation and I will spent 72 euro because i have changed the import. It’s very good. The books, from date of shipment, They will arrive between 7 and 28 days.

can i get these sent to the uk if so what will be the cost?
