Bartholomew Biddle and the Very Big Wind Out Today

Gary Ross’ children’s book ‘Bartholomew Biddle and the Very Big Wind‘ is being released today and the Wall Street Journal posted a review a few days ago.
As free as the breeze, Bartholomew sails by means of a bedsheet from one remarkable place to another. He lands amid cheery pirates living it up on a beach. He stops near a grim boarding school, befriending one of its inmates—and teaching him to fly, too. Finally Bartholomew alights in a peculiar settlement of aviators, balloonists and windsurfers who, like him, had once been snatched up by the wind. Deposited at the windless base of a deep canyon, these voyagers, from Amelia Earhart to a Nepalese Sherpa, seem dolefully reconciled to their flightless confinement. “Bartholomew got it— / this place was like jail: / just ocean and cliffs— / and no way to make bail.”
