Oscar Voters Received A Copy Of ‘The Hunger Games’

I know it’s chances are low, but it would totally be cool if it got nominated for something!

I’m sure it’ll at least get a nod for costume or makeup, solely because of the awesome capitol people.

Make-up maybe. But that category only has space for 3.

Personally, sound mixing and editing should get nominated.

this is exciting news! i’m not getting my hopes up, but i will keep my fingers crossed for at least one nom in one of the technical categories.

meanwhile, i’m so incredibly psyched by the possibility that jen might get that oscar this time around! obviously we haven’t yet seen SLP, but the almost-unanimity of the critics’ response to it gives me great hope. i’ll be staying up all night to watch the show, if only to see her win, that’s for sure!

There’s a small chance Hunger Games might get nominated, and very, very little chance it will win. Don’t get your hopes up guys. But ermagersh, I really hope Jenn wins Best Actress! She deserves it.

I don’t think The Hunger Games will get any Oscars. For starters, it’s too comercial… and there are better films out there, artistical-wise.

Maybe it could’ve gotten Best Actress, but Jenn will almost surely be nominated on that category for Silver Linings Playbook anyways…

I’m not saying it wouldn’t be nice, it’s just too improbable.

I woke up from my dream this morning firmly believing that I had just completed acting in a film with Jennifer Lawrence. It took me a full 2-3 minutes to realize that it wasn’t true.

Reality sucks.

It would be really nice if THG was nominated in some category. If I have to guess, I can see nomination for Makeup, maybe (and just maybe) sound mixing and even a nomination for Woody Harrelson as Supporting actor (Am I the only one who believed Woody was superb in the movie?).

It has a big chance of getting a makeup and costume nomination, but how about Best adapted screenplay? What is the competition in that category?

I have little hope that it will get a Best movie nomination… You know what the Academy is like, these are the same people who ignored The Dark Knight because it’s a comic book superhero movie, who almost always ignore great SciFi movies, I doubt that they’ll include a movie with SciFi elements based on a book marketed as YA. Even though the expanded field makes it a bit more likely. At best they’ll wait till the franchise gets more established and give a nomination to one of the sequels. I’ve been wondering if they’ll even give The Dark Knight Rises a nomination because it’s the last Nolan Batman movie, to make up for ignoring TDK, which I’m really hoping they won’t do, since TDKR really isn’t that good a movie.

I hope the Hunger Games gets nominated atleast in one category but i wont get my hopes up so that i dont end up dissapointed but it would be really amazing if THG was nominated ^^

Asides from the music and JL’s acting I don’t really believe THE HUNGER GAMES is Oscar’s material
