Videos: More MTV Interviews with Josh Hutcherson
You’ve seen the video of Josh Hutcherson telling MTV’s Josh Horowitz what he’s most thankful for and you’ve seen him talk about how he split his pants while filming, and now here are three more videos taken from that same interview. Josh talks about working with Francis Lawrence, discusses his costars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Sam Claflin, and talks about filming “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” in IMAX.
On the differences of having Francis Lawrence directing instead of Gary Ross:
“It’s very different, but at the same time we did keep the essence of the original story. We kept a lot of the same kind of feel of like the Capitol and the feel of the characters.”
You can see the next two videos under the cut!
On Philip Seymour Hoffman:
“He’s amazing. Just watching him is an acting class. The guy, he’s so in it, and he’s so present and he just really grounds the movie. Such a grounded actor, and I think that he really adds a lot to the movie for sure.”
His reaction after watching a clip of Jennifer Lawrence revealing his Bromance with Sam Claflin:
“We totally hit it off. He’s just one of those guys that is always down to ahve fun and is genuinely a good person, and we have a very similar sense of humor. He likes to play soccer, and I play soccer. And it’s kinda really a great match, everything just melded together.”
On filming “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” in IMAX:
“Yeah, they’re shooting… I think all the stuff in the Arena is going to be IMAX, so when you go see it in IMAX you’ll see the regular movie like when we’re in the Districts and the Capitol, and then when you see us go up in the pod into the games, it will open up into IMAX and it’s gonna be amazing.”
