Confirmed: D10 Tribute Jackson Spidell is Sam Claflin’s Stunt Double
When these pictures of the filming of the Cornucopia fight hit the web last week, quite a few people speculated that was not actually Finnick (Sam Claflin) engaged in a scuffle with Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), but that it was his stunt double (whom we saw more clearly in some of the pictures here), or maybe some other tribute. Many were quick to point out this person looked like the male tribute from District 10, played by Jackson Spidell.
Today, Tiffany Waxler, who plays the role of the female tribute from District 10, confirmed via Twitter that Spidell actually has a dual role in this movie: he’s both a District 10 tribute and Sam Claflin’s stunt double.
So for those of you who were confused, that’s one mystery solved! Thanks to Hunger Games Trilogy for the tip.
What if he were really Finnick and Sam Claffin was the D10 tribute? I wouldn’t mind that at all haha but i’m looking forward to see Sam’s performance!
I thought so! Most of the people playing the minor tributes are stuntpeople, and Spidell was credited for stunts in the first movie as well.
