Lawrence, Hoffman Earn Critics’ Choice Awards Nominations

And it’s a go for Awards Season! The nominations for the 2013 Critics’ Choice awards were announced yesterday, and of course our talented cast is well represented.
Jennifer Lawrence earned three actress noms: Best Actress and Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, and Best Actress in an Action Movie for her portrayal of Katniss in The Hunger Games. Philip Seymour Hoffman received a nod as a Best Supporting Actor contender for his much-touted role in The Master. Both their films are also in the running for Best Picture, with David O. Russell nominated as Best Director for Silver Linings Playbook, several of their co-stars also nominated in the major acting categories, nods in their respective Screenplay categories, and more.
The 18th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards will broadcast live on the CW Network on Thursday, January 10th at 8 pm ET. We wish the best of luck to both Jen and Philip! What do you think their chances are of winning?
Be sure to stay tuned because there are more nominee announcements coming up soon! The race to the Oscars is getting intense.
