While I’m sure we all still love the motion poster that Lionsgate released late last year, I doubt I’m the only one that’s been patiently (okay, okay, not so patiently) waiting for a regular poster to be released. This morning, Lionsgate posted their first official poster for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ on Facebook.

Can’t believe we have to wait so long for this
I totally read “every revolution begins with a spank” LOL! But yay it looks good!
Not much different from the other thing but HEY! Catching Fire Poster! You know I get the feeling that all these award shows (with the cast attending), the official pics and now the poster, that LIONSGATE are building up to a trailer no. 1 !
i still prefer the motion picture for the sole fact that the clock behind the mockingjay actually ticks (never getting over that!), but looking at the 300 dpi version of this poster, i still feel awed by the amount of detail there is to the pin, the texture, the fact that it feels “live” even if it’s just a still. i’m as awed as i was when they released the first poster for the hunger games. that’s just some amazing graphic design there.
The clock ticks?! Oh I just noticed that and I really hope they are actually building up to trailer 1 and not torturing us!
to think that every single inch of this poster was probably thought of a million times, just to make it match the urgency of the fire that is catching.. ya know Ive always respected graphic designers..
When will the poster be on sale
Awesome!! But November 22 is so far away :’(
NEXT IS the Trailer hopefully *crosses fingers*
I don’t think they’ll release a trailer… a teaser maybe, but a trailer this many months before the release?
I love this poster! I just really wish that it would be in the same direction as it is on the book instead of how it actually is :/
I’m not ungrateful or anything it just worries me to think that if they decide to change the logo from what it actually is, what else did they decide to change?
I thought that this was how’s the catching fire logo went in Australia
It’s so awesome being able to look at it still and take it all in. Plus I can have this one as my wallpaper
*clears space on wall in preperation*
