Jennifer Lawrence recently continued her dominance of the awards circuit, attending the Santa Barbara International Film Festival were she was awarded Outstanding Performer of the Year. Now we have some video highlights from her appearance at the Q+ A event. Above you can hear Jennifer talk about taking on the role of Katniss Everdeen and what it was like to return to the set for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Below, the actress discusses which of the characters she has played feel closest to who she is. Thanks to Karen for the tip via The Hob. The entire event can be seen in the following: Video Tribute, David O. Russell presenting the award, Q+A Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5.

Collider has also combined the Q+A and press line interviews in a handy transcribed compilation which you can read here. Jennifer charts her career from beginnings of supportive parents to The Poker House, big franchises to directing in the future. It’s quite a read.

It is well worth checking out the video tribute -whoever put it together did a wonderful job of summarizing Jennifer’s career. There are two especially nice things about it:
The Hunger Games is given prominence as it should be – although it may not have the”art-house” cache it is still Jennifer’s “career-defining” (and great) performance.
It includes a lot of footage from the “Poker House”. This movie was made on a shoestring, never had a nation-wide release, and was nearly forgotten until Jennifer became the Hollywood “it” girl. However, it is an extremely well made movie with a handful of outstanding performances including Jennifer’s amazing movie debut.
