Jennifer Lawrence Covers Backstage Magazine’s February Issue
Jennifer Lawrence covers yet another entertainment publication this month– this time, the Backstage February 2013 issue.
The featured interview, titled “Peerless” after a comment Gary Ross made about her last year, includes Jennifer (hilariously) recounting how she helped a girl who was passed out on the street a few months ago, geeking out like any other fan when she meets a celebrity she admires, her beginnings as an actress back when she was 14 and how her most successful parts, such as her roles in Winter’s Bone, The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook, really made her feel like she “earned” the success because she worked hard through the audition processes.
She also talks about how she chooses which parts to go for, calling her mother a “literary genius” who finds great projects and then points them out to her:
“She read ‘Winter’s Bone’ when I was 15 and said I should play the part. She read ‘Hunger Games’ before it was a big hit and turned me on to that.” [...] Says Lawrence, “She’s been offered jobs in the industry but just does it for fun. Which is great—because I’ve got her! And I don’t even have to pay her.”
The feature is accompanied by a spread from a gorgeous photoshoot by Blake Gardner. You can see over 70 pictures from the shoot over at JenniferLawrenceSource.org!
