‘Safe and Sound’ Wins Best Song Written For Visual Media at the Grammy Awards 2013
Taylor Swift, The Civil Wars and T-Bone Burnett picked up an award last night at the 55th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles for their Hunger Games song, ‘Safe and Sound.’ The ballad won the award for Best Song Written For Visual Media and Swift thanked Suzanne Collins and Jennifer Lawrence for creating and portraying Katniss respectively. Congratulations to Taylor, The Civil Wars and T-Bone!

welldeserved!!! That was one heck of a song! I actually feel sad that we won’t have that song for CF anymore, since it wasnt even used in the movie itself, but the song felt very appropriate for CF. I still listen to it to this day, cuz its so genius! I hope the rumors of the Civil Wars disbanding aren’t true, cause i love ALL of their songs. Would love to see them do something for CF or one of the Mockingjay movies!
unfortunately civil wars has already disbanded months ago.. they even cancelled some of their tour dates
