VIDEO: Josh Hutcherson at the 2013 Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game
Josh Hutcherson took part in the 2013 Sprint NBA Celebrity Game last Friday, February 15th, and he sure had a blast! Playing with number 7 for the East, unfortunately Josh’s team lost 58-38, but our Peeta definitely left his mark on the scoreboard:
Actor Josh Hutcherson of “The Hunger Games” was perhaps the most animated player on the floor and had 11 points, while sinking three 3-pointers. He was the only player to connect from downtown. He also managed two air balls from long range among his seven attempts.

He is impressive. He can jump for sure! I was stunned that in the video at the , they said ” Peeta from the hunger games aka Josh Hutcherson. Right dude , He won the hunger games with Katniss . He was a tribute for the hunger games ” lol
it almost made me think that Peeta was real. LOL
I remember the guy who played Marvel in THG – Jack Quaid, I think? – said they used to play pickup games on filming breaks and he was consistently amazed at how Hutch “wiped the floor” (his words) with all the other guys. That’s actually a huge advantage in competition – you wouldn’t expect a small guy to be that good, which means his opponents consistently underestimate him.

He jump as high as the others–but he can also compete with the best of them. Never knew that he was such a competitor, but he was on Kevin Hart at all times and would not allow him to intimidate him!! I know a few men in my house were really respecting his athletic ability after Fruday nights game. Well done Josh! Too bad the rest of his team was not as able to keep up as he was!!
