Mockingjay Movie Night #6: The Hunger Games

You’ve all been asking when we were going to watch ‘The Hunger Games’ and on the back of some exciting news from Capitol Couture today we’re pleased to announce some exciting news of our own – ‘The Hunger Games’ will be shown at our next movie night!

We’ve been holding off so we can celebrate the one-year anniversary of the film, so Movie Night #6 will take place on Saturday the 23rd of March, exactly one year since the film opened to many places around the world. We’ll also be trialling two time zones this time around to make it more friendly for our European based readers to come along, so mark these times in your diary:

7pm GMT (London) – Session 1, Saturday March 23rd

7pm ET (New York) – Session 2, Saturday March 23rd

If you’re unsure which time may be suitable for you, please use www.timeanddate.com to see what time each session is locally for you. For example, here in Australia (Victoria) 7pm London time is 6am on Sunday the 24th, and 7pm New York time is 10am on Sunday the 24th, so the New York session is probably more suitable.

For those unfamiliar with the set-up, each Mockingjay Movie Night we host a chatroom for you to come along and join in the fun. The link is posted a couple of days prior in a new post and you can also find the link to the post on Facebook and Twitter. You need your own copy of the movie to play at home (which shouldn’t be a problem!) – we run a countdown prior to the start time and select a pause point so that everyone can press play right around the same time and chat along as the film plays. Snacks and drinks are also advisable so you can have a fun movie night at home

There will be MJ staffers across both sessions (some may even make repeat appearances), so we’re looking forward to chatting with you all!
