For those of you who didn’t get to see it yet, the Capitol Portrait for Katniss Everdeen was released last night! Here’s our heroine once again looking luminous in white. What do you think of this one?
Capitol Couture’s Instagram account also uploaded a new empty chair (almost identical to the one we had before for Katniss), accompanied by this caption:

The dress is gorgeous. I love it. The portrait is fabulous. I’m not sure , it’s the final dress, because the mockingjay symbol is very clear and I’m not sure Snow will agree to that dress. Probably why Cinna had to trick the ” official” dress to become a mockingjay dress. Because this one, had been refuse?
I hope we will see Peeta, sitting next to her. But I also want Peeta to have is OWN portrait alone. Or he will be the only character to have to share is portrait. It will make me a bit sad.

Not only that, but the wedding dress is suppose to be simple until the dress is transformed….This dress is gorgeous….

It’s great to see some pictures but it’s just another way to keep us happy while we wait. But I want to see some moving pictures…I want the trailer!!
OMG i just woke up to this! I was so not expecting this to happen. Katniss WITH her (probably) wedding dress! I hope next is peeta then all the other tributes.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful! I cannot wait for this movie to come! And i notice the mockingjay but does anyone else think her hair and make up reminds you of birds? Just a thought. I think Beetee is next. Or maybe plutarch? I dont know because the #Capitoltastemakers thing is confusing me a little.
“Eccentric and electric”. Obviously Beetee. They didn’t describe the character by “Capitol Tastemakers”, it’s “brought to you by the Capitol Tastemakers”.
What I think is interesting is that they choose to portray all the characters as if they’re in the 16th century or something.
Why are they doing that?
I don’t really think it fits to the Capitol. The Capitol and their outfits are very futuristic and that type of portrayal seems so very old fashioned.

honestly these portrait pictures are perfect !!! i dont even know if i could handle a trailer right now… im honestly debating about not watching it until the beggining of novemeber cause i would actually die from excitment and anticipation.
Beautiful dress, but way too obvious. This would not have gotten past Snow. I really hope that this isn’t the final mockingjay dress.
I Thought the same thing but china makes a few ……. wedding dresses in the book this could be one of them ……but picture not conviceing me she just a young girl in love but maybe thats point ……
I think the dress is ridiculous, although I appreciate the motif. But good Lord, Jen is unbelievably striking in that pic.
Oh my f God. This is so perfect.I still domt love this oldfashioned type of portrait but the makeup amd the dress is so phenomenal. I will have to agree thougj that the mockingjay reference is too obvious so its probably not the final one.

I love everything about it! I love the things in her hair that make her look like a bird, I love the white rose, I love the mockingjay in her dress, I love her earrings, and I love how she’s standing beside the old wood chair.

Trish Summerville, I officially love you now. Jen looks stunning in this. I was worried for the dress, but this is actually the best poster so far! The dress is so beautiful! Hate to say it, but i can’t wait till we will finally see it burn up 
I love the look of the posters, kind of 19th century inspired. Its really unique, and even though it doesn’t fit the capitol, back in the day, having your own portrait was a display of power and wealth No doubt Snow has a few of his own in his own mansion, even though it is really oldfashioned, it still is a display of wealth). I guess the whole antique thing has got to do with the nature of the Quarter Quell.
I wonder what #capitoltastemakers means, they are probably gonna release it from one of their own sites this time round. But what does that have to do with taste?… Food..? Uhm.. yeah..
Taste doesn’t have to be about food, it also refers to taste in fashion, art etc. “Capitol tastemakers” to me sounds more like “Capitol fashion-setters” but with an ambiguity since it can also refer to food.
The Capitol may be futuristic, but it is also based on ancient Rome, as is Panem itself. While most of the surviving Roman “portraits” are actually in statue form, I’m sure rich and famous Romans also got their portraits painted as well. I think that LG has decided to continue to evoke images of other decadent eras (like the court of Louis XIV and Regency England) in their Capitol portrayals, as well as evoke images of real life poverty and oppression in their District portrayals. (K and P’s outfits in the Victory Tour poster would certainly fit into the Depression era, and there were apparently cotton picking extras cast for D11 scenes, evoking slavery and sharecropping in the Deep South, even though Rue never mentions cotton in the book).
Satsuma, it is almost ironic how much of the past you can see in the future. Not just in this movie, but history just always repeats.. I guess we should all hope we learn from that.

I was thinking (and hoping) that Peeta and Katniss would be together. I mean, I feel like he should be sitting in that chair she’s standing next to…They definitely should still have a portrait of Peeta though.

See, right? Tributes’ chair are all identical. Capitol citizen’s chair are all so luxurious.
they probably also took pictures of her sitting, but i think they made the right call with having her stand. the dress would not look as good in a sitting position with all the frills and volume, and this way Katniss stands out from the rest, since she is the main character.

Really ? Do you all really like it ? It’s awful . I saw a lot of photo-sopilers and all of these dresses were bettar than this one. I wish it woluldn’t be use in the movie ;cc
