Steven Soderbergh Wins Outstanding Directing Emmy for ‘Behind The Candelabra’
The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards took place this Sunday, and of course a member of the Hunger Games family walked away with a statuette. Steven Soderbergh, who was the second unit director for the first film (we have him to thank for the fantastic District 11 riot scenes), picked up the Outstanding Directing Emmy for his work on the HBO TV film Behind The Candelabra. Congratulations to Steven on this important recognition!
Unfortunately, Toby Jones, who was nominated in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for his role in The Girl, did not win. But of course being nominated is already a huge honor, so congratulations to Toby as well, and hopefully next time he’ll get to take that statuette home.
