Willow Shields, Jennifer Lawrence, Sam Claflin Featured in Teen Vogue
The November issue of Teen Vogue has a small but interesting feature on Willow Shields. In the article she talks about working with Jennifer Lawrence (“I couldn’t ask for a better person to work with”), how having a sister helps her for the role of Prim, and a little tidbit on Prim’s presence in Mockingjay:
“What Prim has to do in Mockingjay will be a real challenge,” she admits. “But I love a challenge.”
Apart from Willow’s interview, the issue also includes a smallish piece about Jennifer Lawrence’s physical preparation for the role of Katniss the second time around, and a little Q&A session with Jennifer and Sam about the filming and their characters.
SC: I first bumped into you [Jennifer] at stunt training. Your archery put me to shame. I was quite intimidated.
JL: By the sight of my face.
SC: Yeah, it really put me off. (Laughs) No, obviously you are a good role model.
TV: How will your characters interact with each other in the movie? You have a… complicated relationship.
JL: Finnick is the most seductive man in the Capitol. At first Katniss is very put off by him, but the more she learns about him, the more she starts to understand him and respect him. They become weird friends.
SC: He has charm and charisma going for him, but deep down he has insecurities, which overshadow his “external beauty.”
