Beth Crowley is back at it again with a song inspired by The Hunger Games, more specifically Mockingjay, titled “The Goodbye.” It’s absolutely gorgeous, and really captures the emotion of the last book in the trilogy. If you’d like this song to be on her upcoming album, back her Kickstarter for her album HERE. Beth makes a bunch of music inspired by books, and it’s all fantastic. Listen to “The Goodbye” in the video below:

So I finally had time to listen… and it is absolutely beautiful. Beth did an amazing job. I think she captured the Katniss/Peeta love amazingly. Great Song!

I loved this song. So mad that they don’t get to play songs in the movies, I mean, they have some really good tracks that totally fits the movies.

Wow, this was incredible. Her voice was beautiful, she’s a great pianist, and the song captured the way Katniss felt to a T. [: I wish they would add this to the movie, as Loma mentioned. /:

The song was beautiful. I was playing the book in my head as to how I’d think it’d play in the movie. It’s be great. But I couldn’t help but think of Divergent as well. Fits perfectly over and over again in each of the books but certainly makes my heart ache for the end of the last book. It’d be absolutely perfect for it there too.

i had to learn the hard way

    that salvation has its price

    but i’ll never forgive myself

    that you were the sacrifice
    awe…Primrose :(

    :) Peeta….this song is great!..such talent
    i’m so sorry that I
    couldn’t save you
I gladly would have taken your place
I wanted to always protect you
but i broke every promise I made
    please don’t leave me

Is this based on the Katniss and Peeta relationship or the Katniss and Prim relationship?

really it’s how ever you interpret it. Like for me I think it would be more towards prim but others think it would be more towards peeta.

it’s nice, but i prefer the music i’ve heard from the pros (not because they are professionals, but because that’s all i’ve heard so far since i haven’t looked very hard for Hunger Games inspired music.. i actually am interested in finding some good stuff on YouTube though, if people have recommendations).

this is a little too on-the-nose for me.. some more abstract or symbolic interpretation is more my style. my favorite song i’ve heard so far is Come Away to the Water (Glen Hasnard rather than Maroon 5.. they took away some of my favorite parts for the soundtrack version :/).
