As some of you may or may not know, today is the official birthday of Katniss Everdeen. Although she’s a fictional character in the future and therefore not born yet, we’d still like to wish her a very happy birthday. To celebrate, we’re going to be giving away the last of our Katniss character posters to a lucky winner. All you have to do is comment here and give Katniss some birthday wishes. Last week saw the conclusion of our Life-Size ‘The Hunger Games’ Wall Decal Giveaway from Fathead.com, with a whopping 730 entries on comments alone!! You guys really want one of these REALLY. BIG. decals, don’t you? And admittedly, if you don’t win, it seems like quite a bit to pay for one, doesn’t it? ($100) I thought the same thing at first.
The folks over at Fathead were nice enough to send us one of their Fatheads to review and I picked the Katniss one, wanting to stick her on the wall and scare the crap out of my family. Alas, what arrived wasn’t quite what I was expecting and my plans to give this one away after getting some giggles out of it were shot to pieces when I saw how it came.
Yes, that’s right, we’re going to give away TWO Fatheads! One of you lucky readers will be winning our original Fathead giveaway and another will be winning the Katniss one I’m reviewing today.

Lionsgate Announces Additional Week of IMAX Showings Starting April 27

If you missed your chance to see ‘The Hunger Games’ in IMAX, you’re in luck! Today Lionsgate announced that ‘The Hunger Games’ will be shown for one additional week in IMAX theaters across the United States starting on April 27. I went to see it in IMAX my third time and the large screen really makes you feel even more immersed into the film than on a regular screen. Check out the snazzy new poster they’ve designed for this additional week!
“It’s wonderful that so many fans have expressed interest in seeing The Hunger Games in the immersive IMAX format, and many of these are repeat viewers,” said Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group Co-Chair Rob Friedman, adding “ We’re delighted that IMAX has been able to accommodate them through this special one week re-engagement.”
“The Hunger Games has become a cultural phenomenon and we are thrilled to provide moviegoers with another opportunity to see this year’s most successful film in IMAX,” said Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment.

UK Hunger Games fans have another opportunity to get to the European premiere next week at the O2 in London. Sugarscape are giving you the chance to stand on the red carpet and possibly interview Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Toby Jones and Gary Ross:
