Last month, The Secret Sisters revealed that they had recorded a song for ‘The Hunger Games’ soundtrack, which we now know will be released on March 20. Thanks to Hypable for posting about this video of their new song, Tomorrow Will Be Kinder. Here are the lyrics, which are fittingly haunting for Katniss.

If you go by Entertainment Weekly, Donald Sutherland wrote to Gary Ross to tell him why he belonged in the cast of ‘The Hunger Games’. But in a recent interview at the Journey 2 Premiere in LA (shown above), Sutherland denied this when asked if it was true, saying, “Regrettably, that is not the case.” If you go back to the EW article, if you read the article without the first sentence, it actually sounds more like Sutherland simply emailed Gary to discuss the role, which then led to the two new scenes. I admit I’m bummed, I just loved that. (ha ha ha!)

NECA is selling quite a few versions of the mockingjay pin including a chain necklace, a bracelet, and dangle earrings among other things. There have been quite a few incarnations of this pin dating back from Scholastic’s release of Mockingjay to NECA’s first replica pin to Lionsgate’s movie replica from Comic Con.

I have the Comic Con pin and when placed side by side, the two definitely still have differences. The cord necklace one we’re giving away is covered partially by a dark color and you can see the gold-colored metal shining through underneath. The Comic Con pin is very smooth and shiny compared to it, but the detailing on this NECA version has definitely improved over the one that began shipping last fall from CineQuest, which was selling pins for I believe ~$40, but now sells them for a whopping $75. The detailing on the tail feathers are there and the wing feathers are definitely clearer on this version, but still fall ever so slightly short.

Still, the little that the necklace lacks is definitely made up for with affordability. The cord necklace retails for $19.99. That said, the image of the replica prop pin looks exactly like the Comic Con pin and that one retails for only $11.99. So unless you really specifically want this necklace, those of you looking to get the best pin possible for the lowest price are probably better off with the prop pin.

The Mockingjay Pendant on Leather Cord is an officially licensed movie tie-in product for The Hunger Games and was made in China. It is recommended for ages 14 and up.

In a new segment of Josh Horowitz’ really fun interview with Josh and Jennifer, he asked them about all the hype and pressure going into the production.

“I, for one, felt it at the beginning, and then when we showed up on set, it was just making a movie, putting it aside,” Lawrence said.

“It was crazy. It had so much buildup for something I’ve done so many times before,” Hutcherson added. “Every other time it’s been, ‘Oh, another movie.’ This time, it had so much going on before the production even started. I felt it but don’t feel like it affected me that much.”

Speaking to which scenes they were most excited to shoot, Hutcherson again called out the cave scene, while Lawrence joked that she never knew what they were filming.

“I was excited for the cave scene the most, for me at least, because it’s the most character-driven part of the story where you really saw Katniss and Peeta’s relationship take a big turn and come to fruition, if you will,” he said.

“Whoa. ‘Fruition.’ I didn’t know what scenes we were doing until the day I showed up,” Lawrence joked. “But there were a couple of scenes where I’d read the call sheet and go, ‘Oh, that’s going to be a fun scene.’ “
