Haha, yeah I'm usually not into fanfiction, but Haymitch has been in my head demanding his story be told. I am planning to make it back and forth, and have it coincide with events happening in the 74th hunger games with Haymitch's. So we get the two reapings, and then next is the train ride, which is going to be fun. I'm only hesitant right now because my CF is on loan, I don't know when I'm getting it back, either, so I'm worried I'll mess something up there, even though there isn't a TON of info on Haymitch before the Games and I think I'll get my book back before then. I think I did the reaping right, but I was a little nervous putting it up whether or not someone would be like, "NO! That's not the way it is!"
You won't be hearing much else from Haymitch's family in Afterlife, but if I do CF from his POV there'll be more there.

Well, welcome to fic. Careful, it can get a little addictive. Don't sweat the details. While they are important the backstories of the minor characters (and even some of the major characters) are so open. As long as you've got great characterizations it will be a great story.
