English Anthology
« on: January 06, 2013, 06:45:02 PM »
So I have to do a really big project for my Humanities class (It's an English/literature class, but explores other things like Intertextuality and Romanticism) where we have to do an Anthology that reflects us. It's worth 200-something points, and I need some help with collecting some works for it. I rally want to use the final scene of (Spoilers ahead) Doctor Who when the Ponds leave, because my theme is sadness/depression and saying goodbye, but also looking ahead to a better future. So I think the last scene would work really well. Does anyone know a place online where I can get the manuscript? I don't want to just copy down the episode, because I want stage directions also. Thanks!

You made me quite curious, so I googled.
There's a site with 'scripts' up to series 4 here and some on LJ here.
I'm not entirely sure what this project entails, but there's your start.
Consider the others - episodes and companions, there are some epic moments of storytelling from both full time companions and one-off ones like Madame de Pompadour and Donna's tragic growth curve wiped clean by the metacrisis

Well I haven't seen many episodes of Doctor Who, so I don't know much about Donna's story arc, but I'll take a look what the things you suggested. Thanks.

Follow up question: Does anyone happen to know any really good Japanese books, poems, or songs with good lyrics? I'm already using Battle Royale and IQ84, so don't suggest those. I also need Native American works, and I don't really know what to do about those. Thanks!
