All of the staff and forum admins at Mockingjay.net hope you love the site and forum as much as we do, but we'd like to know what you think too!

So this thread is the Soap Box, it's a place for you to leave your thoughts, questions, feedback and suggestions or even just a friendly hello :D Which editorials do you like? What do you want to see more of? Should we post more cast news? While we can't guarantee that every suggestion will make the cut, we are always on the lookout for new ideas.

Fire away :)

I would like to have more opinion posts on the blog (editorials I think you call them?) and maybe you could also have guest posts.

First of all, I'd like to say, thanks for giving us this opportunity.  I really like the "By the Book" segments on CF, and hope you continue that feature as MJ approaches!  :D  I like the new threaded discussion format, BUT at times I wish there was a way to resort the discussions by chronological order; sometimes, I see there have been new comments posted, but have difficulty finding the comments because I often have to scroll through many discussions to see where the new comments are.

I'd love to have more polls, or perhaps even debates about controversial topics.  Your site seems to attract many fans from many demographics, and I'd love to know what the general fandom take is on topics such as ""How important is the love triangle to you?"  or "How concerned are you that Peeta will not be portrayed fairly in the movies", or "Do you see the Careers primarily as villians, primarily as victims, or both?"  The nice thing about a poll is that the "average" fan who doesn't feel heavily invested enough to actually want to post their opinion and defend it to the world, can still participate.  The nature of the comments is that people who feel very strongly about certain topics will be the most active, but that might not reflect the general fandom.

Yep that'd be our editorials, is there anything in particular you'd like more of? More reviews, character analysis, that sort of thing? The guest posts is an interesting thought, it could work in as a form of fan art.

You're most welcome :) Thanks for the feedback on By the Book, it's a lot of fun every time (even if we aren't always perfectly on schedule with them!) and generates some fascinating discussion which is probably my favourite part. We have most definitely already talked about it for MJ (as well as the fan casting series, although we'll have to go for a rename as Casting Fire won't fit..) so you can count on that one being back ;) I am not sure that is possible with the comments, as it may be one or the other, but I definitely understand what you're saying, I have been caught out scrolling too, especially with some of the older debates.

Really like the poll idea, and that is something a bit different from the other sites as well which is good too. I'd say polls are possible within the new theme, so I will bring that suggestion up :) As you said it's also a great way for people to stop by and vote, or jump in with both feet and comment if they'd like to get involved - it'd certainly bring about some interesting discussion!

Update: Sorry to move the thread around again, just searching for the best fit on our boards!

yeah, I like this forum software. I'm new here, but I've used the old forum software on other boards and don't like it much.

Yeah, more of stuff like that. Also opinions on certain news, this sort of thing.

For example, when a trailer is released, having a post covering your thoughts would be nice. Some analysis of the books, talking about recent news, etc.

Having a few user-submitted topics on these kind of things could also be great.

Aww.
Thanks for noticing that about the different boards.
We really like this better too.
The ability to give you guys dumb questions to check if you're human has really cleaned up the trolls here.
Glad it's better for you guys to work with

Awesome, I can definitely bring that up :) To pitch another question at you, would you use the forum as a means of posting your suggestions or would you rather comment on an article on the site? We're looking at ways we can get the forum happening a bit more, so things like maybe having a post with a topic of the month or something and driving people here to really get chatting about it.

Really like the idea of us talking about the trailer :)

Oh, feel free too for suggestions of coverage any of you would like to see from us at Comic Con too - those of us going won't have net access so I don't think we'd be able to do live video features, but there's certainly a lot of stuff we can cover off afterwards.

I don't get what you mean with the forums thing.

And yeah, coverage of the Comic Con and these kind of events would be great, but I have 0 experience and knowledge about them anyways so I'm not sure what to suggest :P

I was thinking we could have another thread to host the topic suggestions for editorials/poll questions. The poll questions would encourage people to come to the forums to chat :)

Hehe it'll be my first time at Comic Con (first time overseas actually!) so it's going to be one heck of an experience :D

Tash, here's an early welcome to The US!  I've done a fair amount of traveling, and San Diego, CA is still my absolute favorite city.  I hope you have a fantastic visit.  Of course, I also hope you meet everyone from the HG, and you are able to share lots of fun pics and stories  :D

Thanks very much Carolyn! I am getting very very excited, still planning out my trip and what I want to see while I'm over there. Fingers crossed there'll be a big HG presence there, we're all busily planning things we can film while we're all together (so far a bit over half of the staff are attending :) ) and then share with you all :D

there's a quick login box in the top left corner fo the page...whenever I use it, it says password incorrect. there's probably soemthing wrong - even I don'y make typos *that* often. :)
the regular login page works fine.

Hey, that happens to me too unfortunately and we're not sure why - the "time to login" seems to vary in working too. It's on the to-do list!

All of us staffers have been chatting too about the polls and some more editorials, so hopefully they'll be in action soon :)

yay, I'm not crazy. also, I know I made some typos in that message about typos, but i'm more careful with usernames and passwords. :)

Time to login worked OK for me last visit - X minutes, and I was logged out by about then.
