At my local theater (if by local you mean about 20 minutes away on a good day) the movies are usually shown 6-8 weeks after their initial run in theaters, but the tickets are 2 dollars (for a matinee) and four dollars (the rest of the time).

But if we really want to see a movie (examples from last year: Hunger Games, Avengers, Spider-Man) we'll go see them in a regular-priced theater.

We also have a second-run cinema, but it's in a super sketch part of town.
I can't muster up the courage to go that often.
By then, those films are available on DVD anyway.

Wow, that's insanely cheap!! Here it costs $15 for an adult ticket to a movie, but luckily my mum can get them through her works social club for $10 a ticket. We have this community theatre type place but it shows the more art house-like films that the regular cinema doesn't show.

There is usually a delay between the US and here though and it can be anything from 1-2 weeks to a month or more. I can't even find Warm Bodies on the 'Coming Soon' section of our cinema's website. Thankfully though a lot of the really big films are released the same time as the US, if we're really lucky we even get it a day before - for whatever reason movies are shown for the first time on a Thursday here (incidentally, games and DVD/Blu-ray releases are usually on Thursday's too). So for The Hunger Games we got it on the Thursday night and America on the Friday night.

Here in my part of Wisconsin, we have plenty of options for  theaters. Generally, the only theater company is Marcus, but we have AMC in malls, and maybe other places, but I've only seen it in one mall.  There's also a budget theater kinda near me, but I've never been to it. It usually has movies before they come out on DVD, like a few weeks before. It's like $2 a ticket over there, I've heard.

I just eat over half a bag of Hershey kisses and now feel sick to my stomach. What is wrong with me, why can't I have any self control when it comes to candy?
Please excuse any typos I'm usually on my phone and don't always notice the auto correct.

Hahaha, I am with you there! I'm not a big chocolate addict, it can easily last in the fridge for a while, but anything like Minties, snakes etc will go in a heart beat.

What exactly are Hershey's kisses? I've heard of the Hershey's bars but not the kisses.

Yeah...... I know I got carried away with White Chocolate pretzels... But they were sooo yummy! *laughs*

Hershey Kisses look like that... Basically pure chocolate wrapped in foil. But there all different kinds. Like peppermint, peanut butter, Ones with Almonds inside. Ones called hugs because they are made of swirls of white and milk chocolate.

Yummy candies. Partial to the Almond ones :D

Whoppers is what I go off the deep end on. Try and stay from them but when I don't its like the whole box before the sugar kicks in and goes to far.

I love chocolate (really any kind as long as there's no nuts in it) but usually I have some self control.

I usually go right for the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in my Halloween haul every year:) I don't really eat chocolate as much as, say, Swedish Fish, but there are a few I like:) We should just make a candy/food thread  :D

My husband loves Reese's peanut butter cups, I never get any and they don't last long in our house. Also if you factor in the cravings I had while pregnant our son is going to love chocolate when he get old enough to have candy.

I live about an hour from the Hershey factory, so every so often we'll go and I'll usually get dark chocolate because I can eat that stuff like there's no tomorrow. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are pretty good too.
